Who we are

General Intelligence Data is part of General Intelligence Holdings. This notice covers initial enquiries about company data, individual expert tasks, physical-world programmes, buyer requirements and relevant business outreach.

The website prepares an email

Our enquiry forms assemble an email draft in your browser. The website does not submit, upload or save the answers to a database. You choose whether to open your email app or copy the draft and send it to chris@generalintelligencecapital.com. Your email provider handles that message under its own terms. We receive your enquiry only when you send it.

Draft answers remain in the current page while it is open; navigating away or reloading can lose them. This website does not use draft answers for analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information to serve and secure the website.

Booking a call

The booking link opens Chris’s Google Calendar appointment page. Google handles your booking information, confirmation and meeting invitation under its own terms. Your website form answers are not automatically passed to Google or sent to Chris; email the prepared enquiry separately before the call.

Information you provide

Company enquiries describe your name, contact details, company, sector, workflows, sources, approximate volume and permission status. Expert enquiries describe your field, experience, contribution preferences and availability. Physical-world enquiries describe your company, workforce, tasks, coverage and approval status.

Only include descriptions and metadata. Do not send client files, identifying records, confidential datasets, credentials or recordings. An enquiry grants no licence to underlying material.

How we use an enquiry

We use information you email to respond, assess fit and discuss a possible pilot or buyer requirement. We may retain subsequent correspondence to manage that discussion. We do not sell enquiry contact information or treat an enquiry as permission to send datasets to a buyer.

If we contact you about your work

We research relevant organisations and professionals using Companies House, public business websites, existing business records and contact-research providers such as Hunter. This may include your name, professional role, business email, company and source links. For some accountancy research, broad age bands from public director records help us prioritise established professionals. They do not establish anyone’s retirement plans.

We use this information for our legitimate interest in discussing relevant data-licensing opportunities or expert assignments. We use Smartlead to manage business emails, responses and opt-outs. We do not sell this prospect contact information as a dataset, and an outreach email does not mean that we have accessed your company’s underlying data.

You can object to direct marketing at any time by replying “no”, using the unsubscribe link or emailing Chris. We will stop that outreach and retain the minimum suppression information needed to respect your choice. You can also ask which source we used or correct information that is out of date.

Sharing and retention

Service providers supporting our email, website and business systems may process enquiry and business-contact information. We may also disclose information where required by law. We retain it only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry and related business records, subject to applicable requirements. Any dataset processing, expert commission or buyer delivery will need its own agreed scope and permissions.

Your questions and requests

To ask about your information, request access, correction or deletion, or raise an objection, email chris@generalintelligencecapital.com with “GI Data privacy” in the subject. Applicable rights depend on your circumstances. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
